Ae exp Valinor Island

Welcome to Valinor Island! If you have not read Getting Started and Getting Started Part 2 I would suggest you read through those first. This page will be a detailed walk-through to get you going. Throughout the article there will be links to other pages to give you more information about that specific topic. Valinor Island is for new players only. If you are new to this game know that you are able to level your character to level 110, however, on Valinor you may only reach level 10. There are many other aspects specific to Valinor in which we will discuss throughout the article. Lets get to it!

Note: This page is currently under construction, please check back for updates

1.) Duke Randolf

When you first enter the game you will be standing on a beach next to a NPC named Duke Randolf. The first thing you must do is speak to Duke by left clicking on him. When you speak to NPC's there will be dialogue options that you can select, certain options can influence the conversation. Some options will lead to more in depth information about the world. In this case if you choose the option "Where am I" he will tell you a little bit about Valinor. After some dialogue he will ask if you need assistance on how to walk. If you have ever played a PC game before the game uses WASD. Eventually he will tell you to seek out Lord Trembly. You will notice in your chat window a Quest Received. This is in correlation with the new players quest that everyone must do. You will receive experience and epool each time you complete a quest. More on that later.

2.) Lord Trembley

Behind Duke Randolf is a dock, there is where you can find Lord Trembley. After speaking to him and a couple of lines of dialogue you will level up! He will give a short explanation of what happened and how to look at your player screen (E). Read Orbs and Attributes for more information. Eventually he will ask what kind of clothing you want. There are 3 options, it does not matter which one you choose as none of them affect anything. You will also receive a sextant which is used to show specific coordinates on the map. He will tell you how to open your Backpack (B), if you do so and click on the sextant you will see numbers similar to this. X:758, Y:76, Z:0 Where X is your longitude, Y is your latitude and Z is your depth (0 for above ground, 1 for bellow ground). He will next send you to speak to Sage Haritod.

3.) Sage Haritod

To find Sage Haritod head South into the town, you will see the NPC in the blue robe. After speaking with him he will tell you how to open up your quest log (L). He will also suggest to speak with a weapons, magic, or tradeskill trainer to receive your next task. After you have the option to continue the tutorial or not. If you do he will give you several options to choose from, you can choose "I want to learn something else" to bring up more options. If you are new to the game I would highly suggest to read each one before continuing as we will not cover these in this guide. You can always go back to him for help or you can search through the Help guide in the main menu by hitting the Esc key.

4.) Trainers

There are 3 types of trainers as specified by Sage Haritod. Weapons, Magic, and Tradeskill. These trainers will give you a small assignment to complete in exchange for experience, weapons, and other items in that specific skill. We will cover each of these in more detail bellow.

Weapons Trainer

Weapons trainers are located on the right hand side of the center area. There you will find 9 Weapons Trainers, 1 for each type of weapon. Thrown, Large Blades, Small Blades, Archery, Crossbow, Axe, Polearms, Blunt, Unarmed Combat. We will cover each type of weapon skill in another page. Depending on what type of character you created should determine which trainer to begin with. If you are a warrior I generally recommend to start with either Large Blade or Blunt. If you are an archer I generally recommend to start with Archery. If this is your first time choosing a trainer they will send you to speak to the Captain of the Guard when you are finished. After a brief description of what their skill is about you will receive a starter weapon specific to that skill. To equip the weapon simply left click on it. To enter and exit attack mode press (Q). When you are finished speaking to the trainer they will have given you a small task to gain X amount of experience with that weapon. You can view your skills and experience in the Skills Window (K). Once you gained the experience needed return to the trainer for a reward and another task. You can continue until they have given all the tasks they have available or until you reached level 15 in that skill. You are also able to cancel your current quest by simply speaking to the trainer and select Abandon Quest.

Magic Trainer

Magic trainers are found down the stone steps in the lower right hand corner of the center area. There you will find 4 Magic Trainers, 1 for each type of rune. Body, Soul, Nature, and Mind. We will cover rune skill and spells in another page. I generally recommend to start with Body Mage Trainer so you can heal yourself. If this is your first time choosing a trainer they will send you to speak to the Captain of the Guard when you are finished. After a brief description of what their rune is about you will receive a Simple Wooden Wand as well as a rune. To equip the wand simply left click on it. To equip the rune you must open your Rune Book (C) and then drag and drop the run into the open slot. When you are finished speaking to the trainer they will have given you a small task to gain X amount of experience. You can view your skills and experience in the Skills Window (K). Once you gained the experience needed return to the trainer for a reward and another task. You can continue until they have given all the tasks they have available or until you have reached level 15 in that skill. You are also able to cancel your current quest by simply speaking to the trainer and select Abandon Quest. You can read more about the Magic Trainer Quests Here.

Tradeskill Trainer

Tradeskill trainers are found in several areas of town, however, most of which are located on the left hand side of the center area. There are 6 Tradeskill Trainers, note there are more tradeskills in the game than what is available right now. Cooking, Leatherworking, Blacksmith, Carpentry, Tailoring, Farming. After a brief description of what their skill is about you will receive tradeskill items specific to that skill. When you are finished speaking to the trainer they will have given you a small task to gather materials or create items using that skill. You can view your skills and experience in the Skills Window (K). Once you have completed your task return to the trainer for a reward and another task. You can continue until they have given all the tasks they have available or until you have reached level 15 in that skill. You are also able to cancel your current quest by simply speaking to the trainer and select Abandon Quest. You can read more about Here.

5.) Captain of the Guard

After you selected a trainer you can then speak to the Captain of the Guard. He is located near the South Entrance to town, he will look like a fully armored knight. If you speak to him before selecting a trainer he will tell you to do so. When you are able to speak to him for the first time he will give you a Large Napsack to help carry supplies in your backpack. Next he will give you a quest to kill 25 bats and/or snakes. Return to him once you have finished. Speaking to him again will begin another series of quests while on Valinor Island. Each time you complete a quest you will be reward with experience, epool, and sometimes armor. You can read a in depth guide to each of his quests Here.
